A Day with Mr. Lennon

A Day with Mr. Lennon

While I'm listening to rock music, there's a person asking me to have a walk with. I didn't thought of not coming with him because i know him very well, a revolutionist of pop rock of the 60's, Mr. John Lennon. He asked me what we're going to do while we're out and I said "Let's just play guitar and sing while walking.", and he insists.
I asked about their successful band, "The Beatles". He smiled about it and he told me that he's very happy with Paul, George and Ringo. He also said that they just enjoying what they're doing and he' fine. He played his masterpieces such as "Hey Jude" and "Imagine" and as a boy of a band, I enjoyed listening to a legend singing while walking.
I also asked some of his advises on how to have a very successful band like his and I listened to him very well. He just said that we need to have a trust, enjoy what we're doing and live with music as he did.
On our way home, at night, he gave me a guitar and he said that it's a very wonderful walk. We went to my home then he said good bye. Sadly, that's the last time I'm going to meet him. I'm going to miss Mr. Lennon, a rock legend.

A Student's Inferno

A Student's Inferno

Midway in the journey of our school youth, I found myself in a dark room, tied on a wooden chair with a table next to me. On the top of it, there I saw a lamp, glowing. Once in a while, i heard a voice calling my name. Then I asked, "Who are you ?". Then I saw a face of a man I know. In which, on our own words, we call him "myself". He said that he was sent by my admired person, who I love, to guide me through her in which i need to look first on my mistakes.
Myself untied me from the chair and lead me to the door. a door which I'm not familiar. A door made of stone and doesn't have any knob, Myself opened it by his bare hands and then proceed to the room.

Room 1: Late Sleepers

In the first room, I found the late sleepers or for those who sleep late in the evening without any valid reason. There, I saw people punished by their own parents by slapping their child's eyes when they opened it and they will only open it if they got enough sleep. I saw there many of my schoolmates and many of my friends, then Myself lead me to the next door.

Room 2: The Lazy

Next room is the room for lazy person. There, I saw a monster, slapping the backs of the persons who do not move when they're commanded.

Room 3: The Troublemakers

In the third room, I found the troublemakers. There, I saw many souls punished by kneeling on the floor as a sign of forgiveness to the person which they made a trouble to.

Room 4: Dishonor of own Parents

In this room, I found myself in a center of the room, seeing the parents kneeling before the punished one. In this way, the souls are involuntarily crying because of their acts.

Room 5: The Boastful

The room of the boastful seems to be the room with full of crying people. I saw people bowing their heads and kissing the ground to show their being sorry for their attitude.

Room 6: Naughty Person

Naughty persons were disciplined in this room by sitting on the chair and their parents watch them until they behaves.

Room 7: Violent in Words

Violent in words are disciplined by slapping the mouths of the speaker for every foul words he says.

Room 8: Abandonment of the Studies

Persons who abandon their studies were disciplined by forcing them to study and will not be able to do what he wants if he didn't learned anything.

Room 9: Violators of God's commandment

In this room, violators were disciplined by catechists by teaching and preaching the way how to go back to the way to God.

With Love, From Me to You

Dear LJ,
It’s been two years that we treated each other as cat and dog in our school or even in our everyday life because of my fault. I’m very sorry because I’m weak. If you’re in my situation, perhaps, you will understand what I feel. For now, I don’t know why I love you so much, more than what I gave to my past admirer.
To be honest, I love you more than you imagine. I love you because of who you are. I didn’t love you because of your beauty or your talent. I loved you because of that something I can’t explain that is within you. I found that before, but I saw it clearly onto you.
Aside from my duty as a son and as a student, you’re the reason why I go to school every day. You’re the one who gives me strength, happiness and hope. I hoped that someday, we will be close to each other. I’ve been hoping that for almost two years.
Do you remember your locker when we are still freshmen? I know it’s broken that time. When you went home, I tried my best to fix it. I spent about an hour and a half but I think I made it worse. Sorry about that. I went back home at about nine and my father scolded me but I didn’t told him about your locker. I just said that it was the traffic.
How about the letter with a message “I love you” on it? Do you still remember that?  I placed it in your locker secretly without my name because I know that you will not like it. It seems that you will like anything in this world except me and my name. I saw your reaction and I loved the way you smiled that time. If you think that I’m lying, don’t worry. God is the witness of what I’ve done. Even Jessa knows about it. Try to ask her.
I don’t know to Igi but he himself gave you the food you love in stick. I’m the one who bought that for you and I asked a help from him that if he could give that food I bought. I did that because I know that you will love it. I spent my money and I faced my consequence, which is to travel from Binakayan to my house with my feet because I only had almost 35 pesos in my wallet, not enough to go home by vehicles.
Before I sleep every night, I always pray for my family and for your family to God to guide you all from any danger because I don’t want you to be hurt by anybody else. I want you to be protected. I want you to be safe at all times. Only if I had a power, I will spend my life with you. Only if I were an angel, I will be your guard. If you’re going to need me, I will be around to help and to comfort you from all your problems.
I also know that you also admire somebody else and I don’t think that you will admire me. Since I love you very much, I am going to wait for the right time. Perhaps, maybe when that time comes, we may love each other and accept each one of us. Maybe my heartbeat could be yours also. Maybe, that time I’m referring will come true, even it’s not today. But I’m hoping, that you will love me too when that time comes.
I give this letter from me to you, sealed with a love and kisses.

Your most hated admirer,
                                                                                                                      Erison

My Teacher, My Hero

Imagine a world without teacher. What will the world look like? A world without education is worthless. Our teacher are responsible for giving education, learning and support to each of us to have a better life for the near future. It is better to have a lot of learning in good deeds and know how to live your life rather than to have a lot of money but doesn't know anything about the world. Remember, Jesus Christ is also a teacher and thus, we need to give them a full of respect and honor.
When I was young, my teacher always used to play piano during our class hours. My adviser, Sensei Hiroko was my first ever adviser and teacher. she loves children as a mother loves her child. Her love for us is never ending that she even visits the house of our classmate when he or she is sick.
At my first grade, my teacher, named Babylyn Casino is the kindest of all the teachers I've met. She knows everything that she doesn't encounter any difficulties when teaching. She loves to call me when she asks a question and corrects us when we're wrong.
I also remembered my second grade teacher and one of the most strict teacher that I've met and even her name was lost in my mind. I call her Madam Doctor. I don't remember much things about her, but when she's in mood, she'll be the funniest teacher that you've met.
Ma'am Jenny, Ma'am Cecil, and Ma'am Edjet are the teachers with the most number of learning I've got when I was in my third grade. Their charisma in field of teaching is extraordinary but the're some kind of being strict.
Sir Joel, Sir Thops, and Sir Nat are the three male teachers I've met with lots of activities during school days. Sir Joel loves to play guitar and Sir Thops is a drummer. Both of them influenced me and I was inspired to learn to play those things someday. Sir Nat is a great chess player and at the same time, he was a basketball strategists. His strategies influenced me on the way how I'm going to study.
When I studied at St. Matthew Academy of Cavite, Madam Joy, Ma'am Riza, and Ma'am Largo are the teachers who had been trusted me for three years and I never failed them. Thought they're strict, you'll learn many things from them especially Madam Joy, she revealed to us about our life when we entered in high school years.
But let's look closely in the life of Madam Joy. She is the most strict of all teacher I've met but there's something in her that I've not seen and thus, I've misinterpreted her ways. Like mothers, they wanted the best for their child. She got strict to us to straighten our paths to have a better and easier study. That's the trait of hers that no one ever noticed in our class. And now, look at me, I'm studying at a science inclined school with better life and understanding.
When I entered high school, Ma'am Jennylou, Ma'am Weng, and Sir Ces are the funniest teachers I've met and I didn't expect that they will be like that. The same with Ma'am Mye, Ma'am Myra, Ma'am Orsal, Ma'am Jackie, Ma'am Nila, Ma'am Lenny, and Ma'am Armyn. Ma'am Pareja is the oldest and a pioneer of our school but I learned many things from her such as good deeds, the history of our school and many concepts about my favorite subject, Science.
Sophomore days were fun with Ma'am Jenette and Ma'am Chato. They're both funny but brilliant when it comes to Math. Ma'am Marjorie and Ma'am Elain are both great when they teach Botany and Biology. Ma'am Tenny is the kindest teacher I've met during those years and thus, I've got more interest in her subject, English. Ma'am Arlyn is a literature brilliant in field of Filipino. Sir Tom is one of the strict person I've met, toghest of all. Ma'am Joan is a great social study teacher.
As of these days, I enjoy my Junior High with Ma'am Juliet, Ma'am April, Ma'am Lucky, Ma'am Jenny Ann, Ma'am Ruby and Ma'am Evelyn but I enjoy it when Ma'am May teaches her English subject. Here, I enjoyed English more compared to my past years of studying it.
Teachers are like a scissor. You know why? Because they cut out the wrong deeds and restore the good ones. They shape us into a good shape instead of uglier ones and most of all, they're also useless without papers or any other things to cut. We are dependent to each other sice they also learn from us, many things which I've not yet seen.

TO BE OR NOT TO BE...

TO BE OR NOT TO BE
THAT'S THE QUESTION
IS IT THE CHOICE TO LIVE?
A VERY GREAT OPTION

IS IT TO GIVE
OR NOT TO GIVE?
THE THING YOU USED TO GIVE
IN ORDER TO LIVE?

OR IS IT NOT TO BE
WHAT YOU WANTED TO BE
THE THINGS THAT YOU GIVE
FOR YOU TO JUST BELIEVE

TO BELIEVE OR NOT TO BELIEVE
THAT'S THE QUESTION
A VERY GREAT OPTION
TO A MAN WHO MADE YOU TO LIVE

COMEDY OF ERRORS: A SPECIAL REVIEW

Shakespeare's "Comedy of Errors" is one of his masterpieces that I admire because of its plot, problems and the way how he put a twist in the story. At first, when I read the title, I've got an idea of what will happen, that there will be a comedy made out of errors. But what I've expected is much more intensified when I found out the "reality".
There were pairs of twins: the Antipholus brothers and Dromio brothers. At first, I have thought of something that these characters will be the one who will commit errors, but then, when I read the story proper, they also have victims and all of them were got in a big trouble. I didn't expected that the story has a catch of sadness at first but later on, there was a happily ever after. The story itself was full of troubles, making it funny and you will not stop reading about it. And for me, that's the reason why this story aged for almost 400 years and yet we're still reading this.
"Comedy of Errors", I say, is one of the funniest and wackiest of all Shakespearean pieces. There's a catch of comedy, romance and complications. So in this special review, this story made at its best.

Aptitude Tests: Is It A Basis?

Aptitude and ability tests are designed to assess your logical reasoning or thinking performance such as NCAE (National Career Assessment Examination). Every now and then, the results of this examination were used as a basis for their college courses. But the question is: " Is it a basis for your college course?"

Remember, aptitude tests are designed to assess  your mental and thinking performance but that doesn't mean that it is designed for the course where you need to tackle. But in some ways, this can be helpful for choosing the right course for you. The choice is in the examiner's hand and it doesn't matter what will be the result of his or her exam. Though you're not good in math, some students take engineering because they wanted to. Some students used to take the test not know the result for the course but to test what are their weaknesses.

So in short, aptitude tests are just test for your logical reasoning and mental ability and it is not necessary for you to take where you're strong. It's up to you what course you want to take. It had been said that there's nothing wrong to dream for a thing. If you want the course, then take it, even you,re not good at that.

Sports 101

Even the times that we were still young, sports are defined as the all forms of competitive physical activity which, through casual or organized participation, aim to use, maintain or improve physical ability and provide entertainment to participants. By using this definition, we can now say what can be the help of sports in our daily lives, even schooling. There's a reason why intramural is done to our school. Let's investigate deeper why sports is important especially to student's life.
Children, when they were young, they used to play rather than to read books. With the reference to this statement, they improve physical ability by doing so such as running, walking, etc. As a student, we need to improve ourselves not only our mental ability but our ability to improve our body by doing sports. We also have P.E. (Physical Education) in order to promote our physical parts of the body by sports also. In this manner, we are able to gain many moral such as teamwork, determination, strategic thinking, etc.
But if you're going to switch on sports only to have a living, make sure that we can adapt to possible injuries which can destroy your career. Yes, we can play for our school to gain scholarships but we need to be careful because once you got injured, it's useless now. So, in other words, sports is important but there is still a scope for this thing.

FLUENCY AND MASTERY

"Fluency in English language is the Mastery of the Native  Tongue."

As of these days, we used to speak in various types of languages like Tagalog, English, Spanish, regional languages, etc.. We all used to speak to communicate, to understand each other and to express our feelings and therefore, mastery and fluency of the languages are important. What makes us fluent in various languages?

First of all, we must be familiar with the language we used to speak. It's like karate that you should know how to defend yourself before you learn to fight. You must learn how to speak and use your native tongue before learning other languages. Remember, it is easier for us to understand how to speak other languages if we mastered our native tongue. So, mastery of your native tongue is necessary.

If we're used to speak another language, make sure that we mastered it as well in order to express your thoughts clearly. Isn't it that it was embarrassing to use a language wrongly to a public? In order to master it, as stated above, we should master our native tongue. After mastering, try to practice the syllabication and other aspects of that particular language. In this way, we can learn various types of languages like Rizal and other known linguistics.

To all dear readers:
This piece entitled "The Presidential Candidate Murder Case" is just a fictional piece and the plot of this story was based on the author's imagination. Other places here are factual but the characters which will be stated in this story is fictional or may be just a coincidence of the author's imagination.
                                                      -The Author

The Presidential Candidate Murder Case

Malacañang Palace, San Miguel Manila, August 19, 13:00

There's a heavy downpour when Mr. Jones entered the place to see the president's announcement about his enemy in the election. Together with Dr. Diaz, they listened to his speech and felt something strange.

"Jones, is there something strange about the president's speech? I heard something obnoxious and I really don't know what my body wants to tell me."

Mr. Jones heard his friend's statement and he just said:

"Don't be too garrulous, they might hear you and you might be demanded of what you've done."

Mr. Jones spent a lot of time to listen to the president's speech. On the other hand, Dr. Diaz looked at the wonderful chandelier at the ceiling of the palace.

After some time, the speech was ended and they went back to their office at Rodriguez Arias and they talked about the manner of the president while speaking.

"Mr. Jones, haven't you noticed something strange to the president?", Dr. Diaz asked him immediately.

"Yes, but even so, we are not sure if there's something terrible will happen after this.",he replied

The phone immediately rang, disturbing the coy  office. Dr. Diaz answered the phone and he heard something strange. There was a scream of a man and a laughing voice of someone they know, and after the scream was gone, a man talked to them and said:

"Good afternoon, Detective Jones, I've just killed a person you know much, I don't want to have any knaves", then he laughed like a buffoon.

"Where are you!", Dr. Diaz asked angrily and Mr. Jones came close to him.

"Solve my riddle you idiots!", the murder said. "Here lies the victim, at the corner of the triangle, and at each sides, there the sacred houses lie. I love to play games, TTFN" and he slammed the phone.

Then Mr. Jones looked at the monitor of his computer, and searched for the map. Then while looking for the answer to that riddle, Dr. Diaz immediately said: "Isn't a joke? Why does a person reveals himself killing a famous people? This is much unusual at this time of ours.".

"No Diaz", Jones replied while looking to the monitor. "That is a vacuous fact. He didn't reveal his name nor his pseudonym. We don't have any idea about the murder, it's just the place that he told us and we need to find the answer for it."

While Jones is looking for the answer, Dr. Diaz grabbed a remote and switched the television on and he was surprised of what he saw.

"Jones, I think you need to see this.", he said.

Surprisingly, the president was killed and no one knows who did this. After seeing the scene, the phone rang again.

The police officer was on the phone and he invited the two immediately. They need an investigation about the crime.

The two left their office and went downstairs to travel to their job.

An unknown depot, Arlegui, Manila, August 19, 17:00

The detective and his entourage had come when the police officers started their investigation. The officers also invited the other people who's with him from his speech in Malacañang Palace to this unknown place. The detective looked at the grave of the president, a body full of ashes with an obvious stab wound which may probably stabbed directly to his diaphragm.

The police found a person which may help them as a witness, but the problem is that he was in state of coma, and therefore, ha cannot help.

Dr. Jones also looked at the clothes of the victim and yet he cannot get any evidences and explanation of his cause of death, the phone call, and the murder. He needs superfluous set of evidences.

While looking at the crime scene, he heave noticed a haft beside the victim, "Maybe the crime was done here." he told to himself but still, he wasn't able to explain about the phone call and the riddle was still unsolved.

He thought of one conclusion without a rapport sequence, that he was murdered with his own hand but he cannot explain.

Luckily, he saw a surveillance camera inside the place and the whole company watched the video and they were amazed of what they saw.

The president is the person who called them he taped the mouth of the victim and made a fake shot to frame that the victim was killed. It's only two of them inside and the others were at the outside. The president is about to shoot the victim but surprisingly, he was burned after he pulled the trigger. and the victim was able to escape, stabbing the president. the guards of the president knocked the victim down and they went out.

the scene was now clear, but the plot was still not clear. How did the president burn?

Malacañang Palace, San Miguel Manila, August 20, 9:00

Mr. Jones looked at the palace and observed the place while the doctor observed the chandelier and he found out something. He found a bottle of kerosene, a wire and a long tube for spraying and these things tell him that something must be controlling this, and it's already understandable that the ephebe that they have retrieved from the depot was the murder. Now, the case was clear to Mr. Jones and went to the Intelligence Unit to explain and solve the case.

The policemen went to the Malacañang palace and listened to Jones and he concluded: "The person who is responsible is the man we found in the case as it was proven already by the camera. But the video might be a forge which can be his defense because it was not just a joke to make an explanation to the court about that matter. The kerosene we found at the Malacañang palace must be sprinkled onto the president's body and as we have observed, and to prove this, the president's umbrella must have a kerosene content, you all know that the president was using that and it was broken by the wind and thus, the president got wet. The gun, which was used to kill the president's victim, was not a real gun, but there's an igniting part of the gun which prevented the bullet from firing and the gun fires the president, causing him to burn. And that's the explanation of the president's death before he was stabbed. Case Closed.", and the policemen agreed to his explanation and went to hospital for an immediate arrest for the victim.

The doctor asked, "How about the riddle? what's the connection with this?".

He explained: "Look at the map" and he gave the map. "See? the triangle was there, near Malacañang, the depot, the Arlegui St., the Aguado, and the Jose P. Laurel Sr.". He added, "Now you form a triangle, with famous houses.".

And the doctor was amazed of the detective's answer.

A Life of Guitar Man

A man of music with very sad life
Yet too old, with no such  wife
He tried to commit, to play only music
To have a living and achieve his dream

Once he was a coward of a county
And only hope to his family
Play his guitar and earn some money
Music is the way he only sees.

He made to love and he made to cry
He loved to play ev'ry man's life
Composed a music, to tell the story
Of every man's story of road.

Though he died, his music remains
Unknown to his life, yet his music reigns
His soul with God, together they listen
The songs of praises, with God they did.

 What A Wonderful World

I see trees of green... red roses too
I see them bloom ...for me and you
And I think to myself... what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue... and clouds of white
The bright blessed day.... the dark sacred night
And I think to myself... what a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow... so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces... of people going by
I see friends shaking hands... saying, “how do you do?”
They’re really saying... “I love you”

I hear babies cry... I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more... than I’ll never know
And I think to myself... what a wonderful world

Yes, I think to myself... what a wonderful world

Our problem in environment or in our ecosystem is not an ordinary problem to be solved as of these days because of the tremendous destruction of our natural habitat by the people. This should be not be warned to people, but the people themselves should see the problem seriously. Can it be fixed or can be resolved? Yes, why not? If the people of our planet will implement the laws preserving our environment and they will obey and discipline themselves, believe me, this problem can be resolved. We were able to destroy and thus, we also have the power to fix this again. What a wonderful world can be if we can fix our suffering planet. God created these, everything. And as a steward, we should take care of his creations in many ways.

FRIAR LAWRENCE
Saint Francis be my speed! how oft to-night

Have my old feet stumbled at graves! Who's there?
BALTHASAR

Here's one, a friend, and one that knows you well.
FRIAR LAURENCE
Bliss be upon you! Tell me, good my friend,

It burneth in the Capel's monument.
BALTHASAR
It doth so, holy sir; and there's my master,

  One that you love.
FRIAR  LAWRENCE
        Who is it?
BALTHASAR

He who starts with letter R.
FRIAR

How long hath he been there?
BALTHASAR

FRIAR
  LAWRENCE

Go with me to the vault.
BALTHASAR

 I dare not, sir

 My master knows not but I am gone hence;

And fearfully did menace me with death,

If I did stay to look on his intents.

FRIAR  LAWRENCE

Stay, then; I'll go alone. Fear comes upon me:

O, much I fear some ill unlucky thing.
BALTHASAR

As I did sleep under this yew-tree here,

I dreamt my master and another fought,

And that my master slew him.
FRIAR LAWRENCE
Romeo! Thank God Almighty, and Juliet.
Go, and the watchmen are on their way
       Save yourselves and be marry

Romeo, hurry for I thought you’re Randolph

Raise up the Montagues: some others search:

        We see the ground whereon these woes do lie;

What should it be, that they so shriek abroad?

LADY CAPULET

The people in the street cry Romeo,

Some Juliet, and some Paris; and all run,

With open outcry toward our monument.

PRINCE

What fear is this which startles in our ears?

FIRST WATCHMAN
        Sovereign, here lies the County Paris slain;
Juliet gone, here lies a bottle, full of poison

PRINCE
Seal up the mouth of outrage for a while,
Till we can clear these ambiguities,

And know their spring, their head, their

         true descent;

And then will I be general of your woes,

And lead you even to death: meantime forbear,

And let mischance be slave to patience.

Bring forth the parties of suspicion.

FRIAR LAWRENCE

I am the greatest, able to do least,

Yet most suspected, as the time and place

        Doth make against me of this direful murder;

And here I stand, both to impeach and purge

        Myself condemned and myself excused.

PRINCE

Then say at once what thou dost know in this.

FRIAR LAWRENCE
There thou can’t see, the sweet flesh of Juliet for she’s  alive, looking like dead for the potion she herself drank.
Romeo, in the other hand, was there to commit murder to his body to be with his wife in eternity, but delay’d because of Juliet.
They both flee to live a better life, undisturbed since their families were feuding, afraid to know the truth upon their secret marriage.
I married them; and their stol'n marriage-day
Was Tybalt's dooms-day, whose untimely death
Banish'd the new-made bridegroom from the city,
For whom, and not for Tybalt, Juliet pined.

You, to remove that siege of grief from her,

Betroth'd and would have married her perforce

To County Paris: then comes she to me,

And, with wild looks, bid me devise some mean

To rid her from this second marriage,

Or in my cell there would she kill herself.

Then gave I her, so tutor'd by my art,

A sleeping potion; which so took effect

As I intended, for it wrought on her

The form of death: meantime I writ to Romeo,

That he should hither come as this dire night,

To help to take her from her borrow'd grave,

Being the time the potion's force should cease.

But he which bore my letter, Friar John,

Was stay'd by accident, and yesternight

Return'd my letter back. Then all alone

At the prefixed hour of her waking,

 Came I to take her from her kindred's vault;

Meaning to keep her closely at my cell,

Till I conveniently could send to Romeo:
And I came there at the tomb, there is Romeo, alive with Juliet, then flees for their lives and love.

CAPULET
Oh brother Montague, for the sake of our children, let’s live their love for them for sometime they will come back. For the sake of our children, let us stop our feuds. I was wrong…

MONTAGUE
Brother, stop saying thou are wrong for the both of us, thy made a fault. But bear, as God knows, they’ll return someday, and accept their marriage, as husband and wife.
Blessed be thy body of Paris, and thank for loving your daughter.

PRINCE
Very well, thou families end their feud,
Servants, look for the couple, for they’re welcome to the kingdom of Verona, let them know the agreement of their family.
