Family: The Nation of My Heart

      Family is the simple group of people who are very loving, caring and if this thing will be destroyed, the whole world will be ruined. Every people came from their families, and so, they exist because of it. Every members of a family is important and it can be compared to a house where we live: The father serves as the foundation of the family, the mother as the light, the grandparents as the fences and the children are the people who live inside it. If the father will be removed, then we will feel that we are unprotected and the house is so weak, resulting to an easy destruction. The same with the light, if it will be removed, then we will not be able to enjoy our house, if the fence will be removed, then there will be no peace at all and without children, the house is nothing. In general, the family is like a nation, where everyone is governed for their betterment. 

      An ideal family for me is the complete family, just like ours but there’s a difference. Ours is an ideal family where my mother and father share their responsibilities as our parents. They are both the light and the foundation of our family. My definition for an ideal family is not just complete, but as what I have mentioned above, which is the comparison of the house and family, even if the members were incomplete, the house is still that strong. And therefore, an ideal family is not just about the completeness of the members, but it is the power of unity and the strength of the family. 

      Just like the Holy Family, every members of our family cares for each other in the definition that if one member is lost, it will bring a grievous grief to the other members. At present, I serve as the light, foundation, fence, and the residence of our “house”, the same with my hard working father. My little brother, in other hands, serves as the residence and as time passes, I will ensure that he will be just like me someday. My mother, who works abroad, serves as the light and foundation of our family. My family is the country of my heart and I hope for it as yours.
